News!!!

Dear Elder Kanthunkako, You are hereby called to serve as a missionary....Uganda!!! Gasten has been waiting forever and finally he has his call. His passport took 4 months to come but he is so excited to finally have his call. It's amazing the timing of its arrival. It got to the mission office in Zambia the night before President and Sister Padovich left to come here for zone conference. Both he and Clifford Tauzie opened their calls at our house at District meeting. We had their moms come. We had 25 here for supper that night. When Elder Kanthunkako returns home from his mission, he will have served almost 2 and a half years. He has been serving fulltime for a whil now because we are short a couple of elders. He will be the first missionary to leave from the Kauma branch. There are several waiting for their passports to come, but he is first.

Dear Elder Tauzie, Kenya!!! Is that an excited face or what? That is his mom and his little brother with him. Sister Tauzie is a counselor in the Relief Society presidency in the Lilongwe branch and is in our group preparing to go to the temple in September. Clifford is also serving full time with Elder Shurtz. These guys are going to be amazing, well prepared missionaries when they finally do go.

We had supper the other night with all these people. The couple on the left are the Bullocks (from Airdrie). The next man and the two on the right are...........

Last but not least, OUR NEW MISSION PRESIDENCY. As the Taggarts (Elder Taggart was the 1st counselor in the mission presidency) left for home Elder Bullock was called as first counselor in the mission presidency and Elder Prete as second counselor. They were set apart on May 23, 2012.
