Christmas...Christmas morning we invited the missionaries for crepes and, as you can imagine, we consumed a mountain of them. We stuffed them with scrambled eggs and bacon, bananas, icecream and chocolate sauce, fresh pineapple whipped cream and caramel sauce and many other imaginative concoctions. Mmmmmmmm! After that, Elder Prete and I taught the missionaries our family version of the white elephant game. We all had fun as you can see.
The mission president and his wife had sent a gift for everyone and Elder and Sister Lookhart, the office couple, sent gifts. Also, our kids and grandkids got together and sent a bunch of things for us to put together to give the missionaries. So many fun things and enough candy to send us on a sugar high to last till Mother's Day.

I kind of got busy with other things (like cooking) and forgot the camera. I really wish I had taken more pictures. Maybe I should put someone else in charge of the camera at times like that. Everyone got to call home and anybody whose family had Skype could even video call this time. That was a big hit. (Except for Sister Adams. The internet must have got overloaded by that time because her call kept getting booted.)
We actually found a store that was taking orders for turkeys a month or so ago so we had turkey, ham, pumpkin, apple and banana cream pies and all the trimmings. (The turkey may have had its own seatbelt on the flight from South Carolina. It was expensive enough. It was worth it though!) We all ate ourselves almost into a coma.
All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas season. Hope yours was great too!
