This is President and Sister Chinyumba. He is the district president of the Blantyre District. His wife was a sister missionary in Botswana and served with Elda and Seesta Jones (Glen & Jacquelyn) when they were there. We were asked to go to their District Conference so we could pick up our new truck (FINALLY!!!) and play taxi for Elder & Sister Bricknell (Elder Bricknell was the Area Authority assigned to the conference) back to Lilongwe to catch their flight home. They weren't able to get a flight into and out of Blantyre so they had to use Lilongwe.

Oh my goodness!!! Look what happens when you leave for the evening and give the missionaries free run of the house (luckily I left my camera on the counter and someone gathered evidence. I'm betting Elder Shurtz would hate this picture. He has been bemoaning how out of shape he thinks he is getting and this really makes him look like it is true. (It's not though)

We lost three more. L-R Elder Gonza and Elder Mawawani are headed home and Elder Govindasamy is going to Zambia to serve there. We will miss them all!

We have been trying since we got here to make friends with this one. She is Carrow Ngwelete, littlest of the recently released branch president's brood. At first she would cry if we even looked at her but now she will actually take a few steps away from her mom or dad to get a candy from us and she will even smile at us. We're making progress.

This is Brother and Sister Levi. He is a counselor in the branch presidency of the Kauma Branch and she is the Primary President. He is not as tall as Elder Prete so you can imagine how little she is!

Some of the Relief Society sister at the branch activity last week. As you can tell, most activities are done outside cuz that's where there is room.

The Ngwelete family. Damistar (dad), Carrow (I'm pretty sure we would pronounce it Carol but here the Ls and Rs are totally interchangeable, Emilda (mom), Shirrah (again, I'm betting on Sheila), and Alik. Not too long and they will be an eternal family! (That is if their passports ever get here.)

Sister Marjorie Tauzie and her son Clifford. As you probably saw in one of the other posts, Clifford is leaving August 23 to serve in the Kenya Nairobi mission. A great great family. Sister Tauzie is also preparing to go to the temple in September.

The Duma family. They are just the cutest family! Their oldest, Brave is 12, the almost 10 year old twins Andrew and Francina are next, then Tamara is 8 and Mishek is 6.

I don't think I have introduced you to our two little roses, Sister Ngqondela (tackle that one! There is a slight n sound then a sharp tongue click then the "ondela" part) and Sister Morissi. Sister Ngqondela is from the very south tip of South Africa and Sister Morissi is from Zimbabwe. They have lit things on fire in the Lilongwe Branch. They are just awesome. They have been serving together for almost eight months and get along just amazingly well. Great examples. The kids they are with are Otrina and Ashan Kamphinda, from one of the first families we met here.
