The Temple!

Our first Lilongwe temple trip. Due to passport problems, it was a much smaller group than we had hoped and planned for but we are so happy that they were able to finally go. On the left is Sister Tauzie and the rest are the Mitambo family. Sister Tauzie and Sister Mitambo are the counselors in the Lilongwe branch Relief Society. Sister Tauzie's son Clifford is one of the young men who just left for the missionfield in August. She is an awesome lady.

The Mitambos - Fortunate, their daughter, is 10. Clement is almost 9. Godknows is 12. Sister Mitambo was expecting a baby and we understood it was due in November. We tried to talk them into waiting until after the baby was born but they didn't want to. Well...after a 36 hour bus ride to Johannesburg, a few days at the temple, then 36 hours on the bus again...about a week later she gave birth to a 9+ pound baby girl. The first baby born in the covenant in Lilongwe (we are pretty sure.) The rest of our group is still anxiously waiting for their passports. We have got a few but still no more complete families. As soon as the rest of the documents come, we will be planning another trip.
