Just in case you were wondering..............there are approximately 252 speed bumps between Lusaka, Zambia and the Malawi border! We counted. (about 11 hour drive)
We had a bit more time on the way home from Zambia so here are just some shots from along the way.
| A lot of the houses on the Zambia countryside seem to be made of sticks where in Malawi pretty much everything we see is made of bricks. No idea why. |
| A really cool looking tree. It had the knobby things all over it from top to bottom. |
| We love the baobabs. Aren't they amazing? They are all starting to leaf out again now. |
| The same baobab. It has pegs all up it. We think it may be to climb up and harvest honey. |
| Another little Zambian village |
| Stick houses |
| These pure white trees were kind of interesting. The leaves on some of the trees have been gone for about 2 or 3 months and things are just now starting to leaf out now at the middle of October. |
| A crazy load of wicker furniture |
| The Shields at the mission home before coming to Malawi. |
| Us at the mission home. Now we have been to Zambia! |
